I guess that’s what we do best, create hype, discuss over and over,
I can imagine this coming 26/11, Media is brewing another spectacular story for this conjuncture .And we are all set with our popcorn bags to savor it!
Once again we will be filled with rage, start taking pledges against terrorism, abusing Pakistan, abhorring ministers, complaining about the system … this and that.
That’s what we dote on to.
And then there will be a debate where everyone reprehends some one or the other, emotional group of people talking to media, and media empathizing with them…
“… We should have attacked Pakistan…”
“… All politicians should be hanged...”
“..Stop paying taxes…” “…all are corrupt...”
So that’s what we want right now Blow up Pakistan and we all live happily there after :)
So let’s say we do attack Pakistan and of course we have all the strength in the world to do that.
Then what!
If Pakistan looses to Taliban, We will have a nice neighbor called "Taliban”,
Who would be very much delighted to entertain our “Peace Talks” and “Bus visits “
At least we can try a dialogue with so called democracy or put pressure to house arrest 26/11 mastermind. But with Taliban, It’s all very simple for us. We would be requiring no proofs to prove Pak hand, no international pressure on forum. The task becomes much easier-fight till they die or we run out of our resources.
We are not fools to not to fight Pakistan, After 26/11 Taliban was sure Pak will be attacked by India and Taliban will take advantage of this and take over entire Pak, then they will have the Nuke and Taliban would be the biggest threat to mankind, with of course our another friendly neighborhood (China) lending hand to them and India being the only peace loving neighbor.
That world order would be much worse than today’s.
We all get emotional and think we should just blow away Pak and get rid of all our problems, we just want someone to blame to ,be it our politicians be it USA be it Pakistan.
I know they are all serious issues, But do we just have those problems in our lives?
In a country of 3rd Largest GDP in the world, highest tax paying nation, country of few of the most richest people on earth, Mayawati constructing 26,000 crore worth of statues of her own.
More than half of the nation is below BPL, and we have second largest army in the world.
There are 75 percent of Indians (according to the World Bank /IMF reports) who earn less than a dollar a day and we have to spend $2 million per day in Siachen!
This all looks so much in disarray what do we do now. Then I remember RDB’s dialogue
“… koi bhi desh perfect nahi hota… usey perfect banana padta hai… “
So let’s once again try to do our bit so we have a better tomorrow. Let’s at least cast votes. Use common sense at times on roads, Lets at least not pay bribes..
After writing this blog and saying all this.. I remember paying bribe to the cop last time my car was toyed when it was parked in NO Parking.
All I can say is Salvation lies within.
