I said.. BULLSHIT!!
I feel that's the most irresponsible and most exploited statement used by the people who hold the power in order to justify their incompetence to work hard and implement the change!
You can NOT just request the people to change!!They won't. History says it all!
When the Civil Rights movement in USA for equality of blacks began, it was need of the society, hard work of the leaders and the stringent laws which forced the society to accept them as equals.They cant even dare to call them black now!
Lawmakers don't shy away from your responsibilities by saying it is deep rooted in our society and making laws will not change them.Of course it will!
Just imagine, if you stare a women, show disrespect or do any gender bias; you get behind bars!! Next time you wont even dare, and once this fear inculcates in the society, it will slowly and steadily become inherent in our minds.
For example ; When we travel to USA we are told not to use any racial comment or else we would we kicked out of the country.Why? In those civilized countries we don't even dare to throw trash on the streets!
This is how the civilized societies have changed. People of so called first world are not born angels! They are trained to be so! They cant even imagine misbehaving with a women because that will annihilate their life! Their laws are so stringent and so is the implementation that you just cant get away after committing a crime and as a result the basic discipline reflects in their society!
Don't give this "Be the change" crap!! this doesn't work anymore, or perhaps never worked.
Don't always start arguing in everything, start doing!! Make strict laws and implement them, then the whole society would be bound to change!

The Law Makers will not Create or Change any Laws which can CHANGE the Government.. All they care about what can not change their position in the Highest Offices of the Nation !!
